The Holy Spirit comes to our aid and bears us up in our weakness; for we do not know what prayer to offer nor how to offer it worthily as we ought, but the Spirit Itself goes to meet our supplication and pleads on our behalf with unspeakable yearnings and groanings too deep for utterance.
And The One Who searches the hearts of all people knows what is in the mind of the Holy Spirit because the Spirit intercedes and pleads in behalf of the saints according to God's will.
All things word together for good for thos who love God.

I'm commenting on the novena that I have taken from Romans 8. It is a powerful way of offering our petitions to God -- through the Holy Spirit, --- and therefore through the Spirit of Jesus Christ. We "do not know what prayer to offer ....". How wonderful that God gives us the Holy Spirit (God's Spirit)for wisdom and insight in our very praying! Sr. Carmel Therese
ReplyDeleteHi Sr. Carmel Therese,
ReplyDeleteThis is a test to see if this works. I believe that Romans 8 would probably be one of St. Vincent's favorite scriptures since he knew intimately Godt's love for him.
Thanks for the reminder of how God, the Holy Spirit continues to work in my life and in the life of everyone else.
Take care!
The Spirit of God is always at work within us. We need the grace to be aware of such a Gift -- God is the Gift, freely given.
